Standing Water Next to a Home

These last few weeks, Los Angeles, CA has been hit really hard by these storms. Pacific Palisades has been hit hard and the damages have been all over the map. Some are as simple as a leaking window where the caulking has been stripped to major mudslides taking out entire residences. Mostly we have seen leaking roofs and clogged drains outside causing standing water to seep into homes. During this respite, while the sun is shining, check your outside drains and make sure they are free of debris. you should also check your home's rain gutters and clear them of any debris as well. You can also check with your local fire departments for sand bags if you have water seeping in from under your doors.
